Club Philosophy

Club cricket comes in a variety of forms: From the show up for khana/pina + Daaru/ shaaru variety to the two practices a week, ruthless selection type. Our overarching philosophy is a mix of the two. We play cricket to have fun… while the more serious attitude is reserved for the league games.

Ultimately we want to get our membership as much cricket as they want. This normally means having a full complement of league games, more friendlies, and a few trips per season to other cricket destinations in the USA, something like a “No Reservations” cricket tour.

To get to the right number of games, we have a 35 game season starting in May and ending when the clocks change in October. We play friendly games mostly on Saturdays – and league games on Sundays.

The Membership Process at UBS CC

Our base membership is $250 for a full membership and $125 for a student membership. Now, we won’t ask for any cash up front, but after a couple of games…

Why so much dosh? Our fees cover ground rental and upkeep, insurance, balls, drinks at the game and other equipment. Once the fee is paid it is up to you to make the most of your investment and sign up to play as often as you want! We manage all team arrangements online, via an opt in evite system (except for league games).
